The service is documented with instructions for setup and operation.

“As enterprises transition to the digital economy by developing more multi- and hybrid-cloud applications, they face a fractured surface area to defend. The integration of Signal Sciences with Pivotal Platform provides comprehensive application protection embedded within Pivotal Platform for visibility and automated blocking of active application and API attacks so enterprises can move forward with their cloud-native journey with confidence.”

How It Works

The Signal Sciences Agent does the following:

  • Monitors and inspects web request traffic to applications deployed in Pivotal Platform and PKS
  • Protects apps deployed in Pivotal Platform and PKS by blocking malicious web requests
  • Provides attack and anomaly visibility through the Signal Sciences Dashboard

Pivotal Platform

The Signal Sciences agent runs within the application. In order to enable the agent, simply add Signal Sciences to your application stack from the Pivotal Platform Marketplace. Then, with a single command or click, developers can bind their applications to the service broker to automatically add the Signal Sciences agent to their buildpack.
