Cloudsoft Overview

Cloudsoft approaches IT with the enterprise customer in mind. Like PCF, Cloudsoft Service Broker is based on Open Source software. We are also members of the Cloud Foundry Foundation. Cloudsoft Service Broker extends the power of PCF meaning developers can build applications using existing data and services. Enterprise Operations can exercise appropriate controls for audit, compliance and good practise. Also Cloudsoft Service Broker makes providing this access an easily repeatable process eliminating effort, reducing risk of errors and speeding time to market.

More about Cloudsoft

Integration Features

Option to broker a connection to a service running external to Pivotal Cloud Foundry.

The service is documented with instructions for setup and operation.

“Atos utilises the Open Service Broker API compliant Cloudsoft Service Broker within its managed Pivotal Cloud Foundry services to enable customers to easily connect to and manage access to existing services, in addition to orchestrating new ones in a completely cloud infrastructure agnostic way.”

Christophe Bon, PaaS Portfolio Manager, Atos Cloud Foundry

How it Works

The Cloudsoft Service Broker runs as three applications on Pivotal Cloud Foundry.

  • The first is Cloudsoft AMP, which handles the deployment and management of services.
  • The second is the Brooklyn Service Broker, which allows Cloudsoft AMP’s catalog of services to be exposed to Pivotal Cloud Foundry users through their marketplace.
  • Finally, the Cloudsoft Service Broker Manager allows an Administrative user to curate the catalog of services through a simple web-UI. It has a dedicated UI for adding services that deliver access to existing databases as well as for defining new services.
