This integration is used to report Pivotal Cloud Foundry platform metrics to SignalFx. The integration is composed of a Java agent that is built into a Pivotal tile and deployed via Ops Manager to Pivotal Cloud Foundry.
Using SignalFx, operators can monitor the health and performance of all aspects of a Pivotal Cloud Foundry deployment, from infrastructure, all relevant metrics related to Pivotal Cloud Foundry jobs, containers running on top, and the workloads in those containers. SignalFx provides built-in content to jumpstart new integrations on the infrastructure page and on built-in dashboards.
Gain instant view of system health. Relate app health and performance to Pivotal Cloud Foundry components to the underlying infrastructure.
Eliminate Alert Noise and False Positives
Leverage SignalFx’s real-time analytics engine for more powerful, proactive alerts based on service-wide patterns and trends patterns relevant to performance.
See Any Metric from Anywhere
Use metrics from anywhere in your cloud application. Leverage additional integrations, open-source libraries, or use a REST API to monitor custom metrics.

Option to consume platform component metrics from the Loggregator firehose.
Option to consume BOSH health metrics via bosh-addon.
The nozzle is BOSH deployed adjacent to Pivotal Cloud Foundry.
The nozzle is documented with instructions for setup and operation.
The nozzle adds org, space, and app names to app logs and metrics.
The nozzle caches org, space, and app names from metadata for performance.
The nozzle consumes data from the Loggregator firehose and forwards it to other applications and services via an encrypted channel.
The nozzle supports high availability against internal service failures to minimize event loss.
The nozzle makes use of multiple availability zones in cloud deployments to minimize event loss.
“We are very excited to be part of Pivotal’s services marketplace and to provide full support for PCF environments. As organizations are modernizing their applications with cloud architectures using technologies like Pivotal Cloud Foundry, they will need to rethink their monitoring strategies. We look forward to continued collaboration with Pivotal to make users successful with operating their application deployments in the cloud.“
