Altoros Heartbeat for Pivotal Platform brings a BOSH-deployed monitoring solution to Pivotal Platform. Operators download the service from Pivotal Network, install and configure the imported tile using Ops Manager. An external load balancer can be used to implement high availability. After the service has been successfully installed and configured, operators and developers get access to admin and developer views respectively according to their roles and rights within Pivotal Platform.
Operators can now track metrics from Pivotal Platform components, BOSH, 3rd party services, and all applications deployed to the platform. Access to pre-configured alerts is also provided.
Developers create Heartbeat service instances and then bind these service instances to applications to track application metrics. They can also leverage integration with JMX and StatsD to track custom application metrics.
